Synopsis
The purpose of this curriculum unit is to provide students with more than one perspective of an event in American history. As Americans, we tend to be taught the perspective of the “winner;” how the pluck and courage of a few secured the freedom and independence for the many. But is this a well-balanced look at the actual events?
