Being a high school teacher is not an easy job these days, you always need to keep up with the new technologies, new apps that help you create a great learning environment and the big amount of information that our students are surrounded by. Our mission as teachers is to prepare highly qualified individuals for the 21st century, ready for the working field, prepared to manage all the requirements for the job they’re applying. What a better way to do that than teaching Math using sports.

That’s why I chose to incorporate soccer in my unit about transformations, since the game is all about movement in the coordinate plane represented by the soccer field (translations, rotations, reflections, dilations).
