Synopsis
This unit is designed to add a deeper understanding of math in the primary classroom through a formatted writing program. This program will provide a step by step approach to encouraging students to think beyond the typical workbook page. Students will be engaged in writing, brainstorming, collaboration and problem solving. Students will be presented with a problem to solve. Students will use the BIPMAR (Brainstorm, Information, Predict, Model, Answer, Reflect) acronym to solve the given problem. The goal is to provide students with a step by step guide to solving any problem.
