This year a total of 11 SRET Fellows were selected after a competitive application process to participate in SRET 2022 — “The Right to Rights: Integrating Peacebuilding in the Classroom.” The following 12 teachers will collaborate with Patricia Shafer, Senior Fellow for the Alliance for Peacebuilding, to understand and apply principles of Peace Education in K-12 classrooms. These 11 SRET Fellows will research, write, and create curricula for their diverse classrooms. This research will be on display as the Fellows present poster presentations during the UNC Charlotte Research Symposium on Friday, 5 August 2022. Throughout the process, the Fellows will not only deepen their knowledge of Peace Education in various K-12 classrooms, but also in the principles of research ethics, as well as best practices in academic communication.
