Charlotte Teachers Institute

Faculty Leadership

UNC Charlotte and Davidson College faculty members from all disciplines serve in a number of leadership capacities.

Seminar Leaders offer annual seminars in which they collaborate closely with Fellows over the course of the seminar and work with them to write relevant curriculum units.

The University Advisory Council and Executive Committee help shape seminar topics and disseminate the message and mission of the Institute to other faculty members on campus and constituents in the community. CTI is currently recruiting members to the University Advisory Council.

CTI welcomes all interested faculty members. If you are an UNC Charlotte or Davidson College faculty member and would like to learn more, please contact  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

The Charlotte Teachers Institute (CTI) is an initiative designed to strengthen teaching in Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools by cultivating content-knowledge, creativity, leadership skills, and collaboration within and among Charlotte's public school teachers. It exists as a partnership among CMS   (Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools), Davidson College, and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte), and is made possible by a joint commitment of resources and energy from all three Institute partners and through the generosity of private funders.
