Curriculum Units

bridge_student_smCurriculum units, written by participating Fellows, stand as the most tangible result of CTI seminars. The curriculum unit serves as a vehicle for developing and adapting what a Fellow learns in the seminar so that it may be applied to the classroom. All seminars will include time for each Fellow to discuss his or her curriculum unit progress so all seminar participants may work collaboratively to ready units for publication. Once units are complete, they will be posted here and on the Yale National Initiative website so they may be shared with other CMS teachers, other school districts, and across the country.

The Charlotte Teachers Institute (CTI) is an initiative designed to strengthen teaching in Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools by cultivating content-knowledge, creativity, leadership skills, and collaboration within and among Charlotte's public school teachers. It exists as a partnership among CMS   (Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools), Davidson College, and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte), and is made possible by a joint commitment of resources and energy from all three Institute partners and through the generosity of private funders.
